Hi! I'm Ava Ames
I’m an OSU grad (go pokes!) and an Oklahoma City senior and couples photographer, but long before I ever called myself a photographer, I was the girl taking pictures of everything.
I’ve always been a bit of an old soul and incredibly sentimental. I’m the kind of person who keeps old letters, holds onto photographs, and can spend hours looking through pictures from years ago.
Where it all began
In college, I started my first business, an online boutique. I’ve always loved fashion and shopping, and I began taking photos of my friends wearing the clothes for my website. Somewhere along the way, I realized I loved creating the photographs just as much as I loved the clothes. What started as taking pictures for a boutique eventually became Sweet Swan Photography.
Today, I get to combine all of the things I’ve always loved: beautiful places, fashion, storytelling, and photography. I’m a romantic at heart, and I’m drawn to imagery that feels nostalgic, dreamy, and full of feeling. I want your photographs to become the kind of images you’ll look back on years from now and still remember exactly how that season of your life felt.
Outside of photography, I’m pretty much exactly who you’d expect. I’m a coffee addict who loves finding new coffee shops, I love early 2000s rom-coms, fashion, sunsets, painting, and long walks in nature. I also have two cats who I’m completely obsessed with. I'm so happy you're here!
